Hi,

I've got a requirement that says - the WBS will be of the following type:
I.A.1.a

Five tasks down...

Hi Paul,

I assume you are using Project 2000 or later:
Choose Project > WBS > Define Code.
In the WBS code definition dialog box, click the first row and select:
Characters unordered, Any, separator dot.
Click in the next row down and select:
Uppercase letters, any, dot.
Click in the next row down and select:
Numbers, any, dot
Click in the next row down and select:
Lowercase letters, any, dot.
Click OK

Insert the WBS field into a table. The Top level tasks (the ones you need
to have the Roman numerals) will appear as asterisks. You will need to type
in the Roman numerals needed, but all subtasks will automatically inherit
the "parent" Roman numeral and continue on the WBS codes you need.

Hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

Julie
