Word 2010- Missing Vertical position info on status bar

Having gone from Word XP to 2010, I often referred to the "vertical line
info" (not the official jargon, to be sure) at the bottom of the page to
know how close I am to the page break. It was usually around 10" depending
on my margin and footer settings. That information does not appear to be
present at the bottom of the window in Word 2010. Is there a setting or
registry tweak that would make Word display that info?

Thanks.

In Word 2007 and 2010, the status bar is finally user-customizable.
Right-click on it and check "Vertical Page Position" and any other items you
want to add.

OMG! That is great. I did not expect to hear that. I will ck it out later
today.
Thank you!

Although I like that we can customize the status bar, I don't like the fact that several useful options are hidden by default (section number and formatted page number in particular). :-(
