Access question

Hello,
Is it possibly to alter a CD full of information of access material to save
it on the desktop folder and then work with it interactively...as in add to
and change the information and then save it back to the folder.
The original info on the CD was in Read Only format.

I hope this makes sense.
I have office Access 2000 on the computer and I am not positive what the
saved access info version was.

Thanks for any help and comments.

In other words, I have a CD that has access material on it and I am supposed
to input information and then save it back to the disc...or to another
folder that I create on my desktop to be used for the new altered info.
And then I could save it, (i.e.. burn it to another CD) to turn the altered
info in to the work place??
Does this make sense or do I need to try again.
Again I have Access 2000.
Sounds like I need to change the format or something.
thanks for reading my issue.
