Add a message for "Reserved Error (-3100)"

O

Oldiesmann

I was having a few problems with a validation rule while working in Access
2003 earlier. Most of the time I was just given a message saying that the
expression was typed incorrectly. However, one particular expression (In
("Value1", "Value2", "Value3")) yielded a different message - "Reserved Error
(-3100). There is no message for this error.". Why isn't there a message for
this error, and why wasn't I given the typical invalid expression message? I
did figure out the correct expression (Value1 Or Value2 Or Value3), but it
would have been helpful if it had given more detail. Also, with the invalid
expression message, it said that I might need to put something in quotes.
Problem is, they were already in quotes. I would appreciate Microsoft giving
more useful error messages in the future.
