Adding sound and animated gifs to Microsoft Outlook 2007

Will there be any updates to enable these in Outlook emails please, or do I
have to download Internet Explorer to achieve this outcome?
I have Windows Vista, Microsoft Office 2007 and use Microsoft Outlook 2007.
I was able to add sound and animate gifs with XP using Internet Explorer.

No, that ability has been removed due to security concerns and will not be
put back in to my knowledge.

I thought animated gifs & sound were removed only because MS, in their
infinite wisdom, felt they'd rather prefer everyone use Word as the
only editor for emails in Office 2007, rather than comply to someone
else's document standard (HTML including animated gif's).

Windows XP SP-2 removed this as a security measure.

Thanks for replies Milly Staples and CraiginNJ - I had hoped Microsoft would have found a way to address those 'security concerns' in Outlook - looks like I will have to change to Outlook Express - a pity, as the rest of Outlook is great to use.
