i have done what you said.
But the alert is still promped out when i close and re-open the outlook.
Is there any method for disabling this alert?

Version of outlook? If 2003, you can disable all alerts by clicking on
the
tray icon and choosing the option to disable network warnings and
exchange
messages.
It's caused by network connectivity issues - other versions had similar
problems, but never told you about it.

when i am using outlook on win xp, sometimes the outlook popped out a
message
(outlook is trying to check the database for microsoft exchange esrver
XXXXXXXXX).
i would like to ask that what cause this and how to fix it(stop popping
out
again)?
