Any way to save the table's size and postion?

Is there any way to save the size and position of the table when I close it,
so that it opens up looking the same as it did when I closed it?

Nope. Tables are not intended nor well-suited for use as an interface so
very few options in that regard are supported.

Not that I know of, but typically, you would not be working in your tables.
You should be using forms and reports as your primary user-interfaces.
These objects include the options you mention.
