auto name checking

I'm using Outlook 2000 at work... Some names in my address book will auto
recognize (auto resolution???) when I type the person's name in the "To"
field.. However, some won't... Why??? Thx ---

Usually means there is no match for what you typed.
You didn't really tell us anything that would permit an answer.
