Automating the start date of a project

Mike

First, the question----Is it possible to automate a particular project such
that, upon opening the file, the start date alters to match the CURRENT
month?

Second, the reason----I am attempting to use MS Project to project cash flow
over the coming 12 months. Since this is a PROJECTION, I have no need of
seeing data that relates to past events. I am using the "Cost-Cash Flow"
view.

I intend to combine multiple projects--normal Overhead expenses plus
individual projects that generate both revenue and costs--so as to report a
net dollar value on a month-by-month basis.

Finally, the intended result--A bottom line figure for each of the coming
months showing either a loss or gain in terms of cash flow.

Have you tried having this project as a template - then whenever you open and
save a new project hanging the project start date under Project/Project
Information

I don't understand the phrase "hanging the project start date under
Project/Project
Information". Is the work "hanging" is a typo?

Thanks to both of you.......I have decided to simply change the date
parameters whenever I print a Cash Flow report. That will allow me to show
the current month and manually adjust to show then next 6 or 12 months.
Thanks again.

You're welcome Mike and thanks for the feedback. Glad to know you found a
solution that worked.
