Backup Outlook Inbox Emails to TXT

I would like to backup all of the Outlook Emails in the Inbox to like Text
files or something, so that I don't need Outlook to read them. How can I do
this?

Not quite sure why you would want to do this, but the easiest way (IMHO) is
to install Mozilla Thunderbird and import your emails from outlook to that.
Thunderbird uses the MBox format mail files, which are just text files, and
so can be opened in any text editor.

I open the email, then file | Save and save as txt.

And if the OP has hundreds or thousands of emails that'll take all week!
Thunderbird is the way to go as a mass conversion IMHO....

If the OP has hundreds or thousands of emails stored in the inbox, he's got
other potential problems to worry about ;-)
