I have a protected form and in my form I have an unprotected section where
people can type - it appears in Office 2007 even in an unprotected section of
a form bullets and numbering are unavailable.

Is that correct?

Thank you for the info, I kepting going back to office 2003 and I am able to
use bullets and numbering in the unprotected sections and I no longer have

Possibly you can apply bullets and numbering using the toolbar buttons, but
I believe the Bullets and Numbering dialog is inaccessible.

In Word 2007, only so-called quick styles (the ones available in the Styles
group of the Home tab) can be applied to unprotected sections in a protected
form. So all the styles you want to use in a protected document must be
defined as quick styles (make use of the "Add to Quick Style list" check box
in the Modify Style dialog box).
