Can a vertical line be added to indicate amended text

I am amending a Manual and need to add a vertical line to indicate what text
(or other) has been amended on a specific page. This may be a single
sentence or an entire page. Anyone know if this is possible and better yet
how to do this?

Use Track Changes with change bars only. See

If you are using W2003 or -7, in the reviewing/track changes options set
insertions markup to none and deletions to hidden. Set the change bar
position to your choice.

Remember that these settings are per computer, so if you are distributing the
file electronically, it may be best either to send along instructions for
proper viewing (and a reminder to change the setting back) or distribute
pdfs.
