Can I "freeze" a project in the Gantt Chart view?

Hi - I've just started working with MS Project and have a question.
Is it possible to "freeze" the top row project in the Gantt Chart view?

I have several projects (it will probably be more than twenty) that I need
to compare to a generic cycle that my department follows. This cycle is not a
summon of the other projects but totaly separate.
I have added this cycle as the first project in my file - but is it possible
to have it allways visible so that I can easily compare it to the projects at
the bottom of the file when i scroll down... Like the "freeze" faeture in
Excell.

Hi Hanna

What you can use is the split pane feature. In the top & bottom pane, show
the gant chart. You will have to highlight all tasks in the top pane to show
these in the bottom pane. You can then scroll in the bottom pane. (A custom
view could also be produced)

Let me know if you need further details.

Also, why not use a baseline to check against changes to this generic cycle.
