Can I have AutoText without a following space...

Pu

Hello,

I use ms-word 2003 in thai language. I try to use autotext for quickly
typing. But thai language not like english. We continuely typing for
one sentence and then use a space tell that it's finish one sentence.
If i use autotext, like you know it would automatic add a space
followed the autotext entry when I type anything after that. So I have
to use back space every time to back it. How can i solve this problem.
65 million thai people now have the problem like me. I try to build my
own vb word macro for several day attend to speard for all. But it's
too difficult for me.

Thank you very much for your kindly.

SawatDee Krap,

Here, on my English version of Office 2003, if I create AutoText entries and
then inert them by using their name + F3, I do not get a trailing space.

Are you using the Thai version of Office 2003 (Is there such a thing?)?
Are you sure you did not include a trailing space when creating the AutoText
entries?

Chok dee!

I think the problem is that the OP is trying to use AutoCorrect (the
confusion of similar names is entirely reasonable!). In that case, the space
(or punctuation) is necessary to trigger the replacement, precisely because
English and other Latin-based languages use a space to signal the end of
each word.

AutoText, using F3 to cause the replacement, will work without leaving a
space in the text. It isn't as fast as AutoCorrect, but may be faster than
backspacing.

I have no idea whether there is a Thai input method editor (IME) or whether
it solves this problem. I suggest posting this question in the
microsoft.public.word.international.features newsgroup.
