Can I lock the toolbars in outlook 2003

Is there any possiblity of the the Toolbar locking issue being resolved by
Microsoft. It appears from this and other forums that it is an ongoing
annoyance that should have been resolved sometime ago. I should also mention
that I am unlikely o be persuaded to upgrade to Office 12 purely to resolve
this issue.

Not if you have an ill-behaved third-party toolbar added in.

It appears from this and other forums that it
is an ongoing annoyance that should have been resolved sometime ago.

Microsoft has no control over how poorly third parties write their toolbar
add-ins. It's up to the individual toolbars to remember their own settings.

I should also mention that I am unlikely o be persuaded to upgrade to
Office 12 purely to resolve this issue.

This "threat" holds little incentive for Microsoft to do anything.

I don't even know what the "Toolbar locking issue" is, but you'll have
other incentives to upgrade. I solve lots of problems in all sorts of
software by moving to the next version. If it's at all possible, once
something is out of beta or should be, get the latest stuff.
