Can I print time of day on who does what when report?

Doc

I'm trying to put together a detailed schedule for my workgroup. I want to
use the who does what when report. The report is no good if I can't print
time of day for the tasks for each team member. On my gantt chart, I do show
time of day because the time scale is in hours. But on the reports I don't
know how to show that level of granularity. Can someone help me out?

If you mean the time stamp for the report, View/Reports/Assignments/Who Does
What When/ Select. The report comes up in preview.

Select "Page Setup" at the top and you can add a header/footer with a
date/time stamp.

If you are looking for more granularity in your schedule "Joe does Task A at
8 AM " and then "Task B at 3:15 PM" I do not see a way to set that up on the
details. I think the best you will get out of the canned reports is "Days"

You could try something like Crystal Reports.

Hi Doc,

As Jim said, adding the detail of start and finish times to the Who Does
What When Report is not possible, the smallest time increment in the
timescale is days.

However, you may get somewhat close by printing the Resource Usage view
with the addition of the Start and Finish fields to the table portion
(left side) of the view. That change wouldn't give you the start and
finish times for each day (assuming the assignments span multiple days)
but it may get you closer.

You could also zoom in to the timescale in the Resource Usage view but
again that will not show in the timescaled portion starts and stops.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

We're getting along fine. I am disappointed that I can't get time of day to
print on the "To Do List" report. That would be really handy since our
project requires tight timelines for a short duration. Oh well, maybe it's
going to be available in a later version :)

Hi Doc,

Do you want the time on the "To Do List" report or the Who Does What
When Report? The To Do List report *can* show time.

The To Do List report will show date and time on the report if you
change your date format (Tools > Options, View tab) to a format showing
time. The report will now show date and time.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.
