I would like to put a time on a deadline to say the date and the time (Monday
4th Sept 07 at 1pm). Can this be done?

Yes, double click on the task in the Gantt view and go to the advanced
tab. You will see an edit box labelled deadline. Just enter "04/09/07
13:00) - precise format will depend on your locality and the time
settings on your PC.

Yes. You just need to change the appropriate date field to display
time of day. This can be done by changing the global default under
"Tools, Options". I can't remember which tab right now, but someone
will jump in and tell us. You can select from a long list of date
formats, including some that display time of day. Once you change
that, you can enter time of day along with the date for your
deadline.

The other way to do it is to create a custom form or table which
displays the date, then set the date format locally to override the
default date format and display the time of day. This way, you'll only
see the time of day in that custom form or table, not everywhere that
dates appear.

Hope this helps in your world.

Thanks that did the trick.

Incidentally, you don't need to display times unless you want to. You can
enter times along with the date in any date field, irrespective of what is
displayed.

Thanks, Mike, I should have mentioned that!
