Can't view Rich text or Plain Text emails in Outlook 2007

Please somebody help me. I recently installed outlook 2007 and imported my
mail and contacts from Outlook 2003 using the .pst backup utility provided by
Microsoft and my current OS is Vista Business. Everything went ok as far as
importing the backup, but after I set back up my email accounts I noticed
that I can only view html emails, even te new one's coming in. There is not
text whatsoever, only hyperlinks if there should be any. This is the same
when I try replying to the email.

I have changed my email preferences back and forth between html, rich, and
plain text but nothing helped. I also deleted one of my accounts and set it
back up hoping thatwould resolve the issue. I searched the Tech groups and
found a similar issue with AVG antivirus making emails unviewable. Even
though I don't use AVG (I use Symantec Corporate 10.2) I disabled email
scanning to see if that helped, and still no luck. I also read in the groups
that people had issues with the PDF add in causing a similar error so I
disabled that also, but to no avail I am still having the same problem.

Most of my accounts are POP3, however, I have 1 IMAP account that is still
having the same problem. I rely on Outlook heavily because I manage so many
different accounts so anyone's advice would be greatly appreciated. I am
truly stumped. I figured it just had to be a common setting I could change
because I am able to view html emails, but after going over every single
option in Outlook...3 hours later...still nothing changed.

Lastly, I have also had an issue with Outlook downloading messages from
my Pop (Gmail) server. It seems to download messages only when it wants to
even after forcing a send/receive. I found 4 test messages in my gmail
inbox, but I have yet to get outlook to download them. I also noticed that
it is removing the messages it does download from the server, regardless of
the fact that I have the account set up to leave a copy of the message on the
server.

I will appreciate any and all help I can get on this issue. Thanks.
