Case of the disappearing table

I copied a table from one Access database to another Access database by
simply dragging and dropping the table.

When I closed the destination database and opened it again the table stayed.

However the next day, the table disappeared.

What am I doing wrong.

If the table was physically there, how you got it there shouldn't matter.

I suspect someone deleted it.
