I'm customizing (slowly!) the Contact manager database downloadable from this
site to suit my boss' needs. For the most part I've had no problems but two
things keep popping up.
When I try to use the 'notes's section under the calls tab it keeps coming
up with an error telling me I must enter a value in the calls.contactID
field. I am unable to do anything after that. I MUST close Access and
restart. Do I have to create a new 'notes' field in the table and then in the
form?
Also records randomly duplicate themselves, including all data included in
the record right down to the CUST ID. There is no rhyme or reason for this as
far as I can tell, they just do. I'll delete the duplicates and the next time
I get in there a different set duplicate.
I've used the Contact Manager on my personal machine, which runs Access 2003
with no problem. So I naturally thought that maybe since she's running Access
2007 and the CM was written for 2003 that maybe there's a compatability
problem????
Should I start fresh? @#*&! I'd hate to do that!
