Contour a project

How do I contour a project (vs. a resource) to flat? I have work spikes. Does
Project have a way to flatten work loading? I'd like to reduce the spikes.
Maybe the tool would auto generate reduced Units in the spike areas based
upon a user entered max cumulative-work level.

Jim,
Well resources perform the work so contouring the work assignment does
just that, but of course you will still need to apply the contouring
manually. The "tool" to automate that does not exist - it would need to
be created using VBA.

One other thought, if your resources are overallocated, you could use
the leveling function of Project. Maybe that would help.

Hi,

Yes, Leveling is there to take the spikes away, but it doe so by delayinbg
tasks, not by changing assignment units.
This being said, I like it very much.
