Control C won't copy in MS Word 2003. It will in other programs.

I could originally copy text in MS Word by typing control C, and now, nothing
happens. I can do it in Excel, and I can copy in Word using the icon or the
menu choice. I just did Detect and Repair, complete with Restore Defaults,
and it still does not work. This is MS Word 2003 SP1. I can use Control C to
copy in other programs, including Excel, Powerpoint, and non-Microsoft
programs.

Hi Zach,

In Tools=>Customize=>[Keyboard] type in Ctrl+C
as 'new shortcut' to see if that shortcut is
still assigned to 'EditCopy' command.

[Cancel] at that point if it is. Reassign the shortcut
to the Edit=>Copy command if it has been changed.

Also check to see what language keyboard is active in Word.

Thank you very much - after a couple of tries this worked.
I would "Rate this Reply"

You can just send him baked goods thru the mail. Offering your firstborn

If you're viewing this through the Microsoft web interface,
and you see a list of newsgroups down the left, a list of
messages in the selected group in the middle, and the text
of the current message on the right...

It should be directly under the text of the current
message.
