Crash while converting... :-(

Trying to convert 2002 > 2000. Seems to work fine on
files of less that 2 MB. Trying to convert files 3.5 and
over it crashes - on multiple machines. W2K SP4 Pub 2002
& XP SP1 with Pub 2002.

I guess the obvious would be to break the files down and
put them back together - haven't tried that or safe mode
yet, hoping there was a solution. searched KB and tis
group... :-(

Any suggestions?
