Creating a file for commercial printer

I have to create a pdf from a publisher file for a commercial
printer. All images 300 dpi .tiff files. Is it better to create
using the linked file or the embedded file. The feature is checked to
print high res graphics from linked, but what would be the best way?

Perhaps it might be wise to check with your printer for that advice?
