creating two cards on one A4 page

I want to create two 4-page landscape Christmas cards on one A4 sheet
(picture on page 1, greeting on page 3), with the landscape going along the
210 mm bit. The problem is that I want them to be in portrait format, not
landscape, so that when I cut the sheet in half each card is 147 mm x 210 mm
with the fold around the 73 mm point. This way I will get two long thin
cards out of one A4 sheet. I've tried Special Fold, but it only does one
landscape card printed on each sheet of paper, not two portrait cards
printed on one sheet.

I would print the two page 1's on one side of the paper and the two page 3's
on the other side.

Can anybody out there help?

What version Publisher are you using?
If you are using 2007...
File, Page setup, Greeting Cards, Avery A4/A5. Select C2352. Publisher will
query 2 pages, add 2 more. Copy anything you create on pages 1 and 2 onto pages
3 and 4. Refer to print preview. Add four more pages for the the inside of your
card. Let print preview be your guide on placement of your message.
If you are using earlier versions of Publisher it is a straightforward setup.

Thanks for your advice, however I only have Publisher 2000, and I don't seem
to have the option for Avery. I have tried several things that you gave me
ideas for, but still can't get there to make the long thin two-on-a-page A4
cards.

I think I'm going to have to purchase my cards from Brooke Hospital For
Animals. If I decide to make mine next year, I should start about May time
:-(

Anyway, I appreciate your trying to help me.

It always helps to know the version in the first post.
In 2000, Page setup, special size, type 10.8cm width, 27.94 height. Type the
opposite for landscape.
