Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) Processor: Intel I was working on a important file. After saving this file, I can no longer open it since I get a message that the file is damaged or corrupted. Can you please do something I can open this. Otherwise I have to redo the work.

Sadly, the error message says it all: the file is gone.

Replace it from your backup (TimeMachine...)

Cheers

I gave up. I used an older file that I saved and converted over to MAC Numbers.

Hi Shizue, can you please try one thing? Change the extension of your file from xlsx to xlsb. If this doesn't work, please send me ([email protected]) a copy of your workbook. I will try help recover it.

Thanks,

When I changed the file extension to xlsb, it would not open in excel. However, Mac Numbers was able to open it.

In Which case, please send the one that wouldn't open to XinXin so he can
have Excel fixed :)
