Database diagram from reverse engineering

I have just installed Visio 2000 Enterprise for the purpose of creating an
entity relationship diagram of an existing database I am administering. The
database is complex, with over 100 tables, many of which contain more than
100 fields. It is the repository for OLTP data.

I was able to "reverse engineer" up to the point of creating the list of
tables, but when I place one of the tables on the "page, two problems are
apparent: First, the tables are twice the size of the page, and second, there
are no connections drawn to indicate the relations betweeen the tables. If I
select "show related tables", nothing happens. I'm pretty sure I'm doing
something wrong, but unable to find the answer in the on-line documentation.

Any suggestions? Thanks.

Just the problem that I have, been asked to document a database where the
relationships have all been defined within the code of the various flavours
of query used. Any further info on "...define the relationships in Access
using tools...relationships and then do an ER model on that from Visio.".

My version of Access is 2000 and Visio is 2003.

Ta for any help
