decrease row height

I'm frustrated because I'm trying to do a simple thing, decrease all the row
heights as I think it might be the reason why I can't print the schedule on
one page as I can with a variation of this schedule that has shorter rows.

The instructions are simple: select the left ID cell or click on the select
all button and then grab the margin in the most left cell. I've tried
grabbing everything in sight but the row line always bounces back.

Help! Please talk me through this routine in closer detail than offered in
the help section. I must be making a simple mistake. After I select all the
rows using the Select All button exactly what do I grab to decrease the
height?

thank you in advance!

Rod, the pt size (12) is the same as the other schedule of mine that is the
same schedule except for minor variations and the row heights in that
schedule are at least 1/4th less if not more.

More, I tried reducing the font size to 8 with no effect . I'm about to try
moving the right column in the tasks column as far right as necessary to
remove all wrapped text, thinking that may be restraining the rows from
decreasing in height. Problem is I've already tried selecting a single row
to reduce the height of that row. Didn't work and I'm running out of things
to try.

I have as an example the aforementioned schedule which prints out on one
page and it's a longer schedule than its cousin by 3 months, although the
same in every other way. I tried copying every single setting from that
schedule , but so far haven't fallen on the solution. There has to be some
simple thing that is forcing the schedule to print out on 2 pages. I'm am
printing to Adobe Pro PDF
and the first of 2 pps. is blank. After I delete the 1st page the 2nd page
displays the Gantt chart on 1 page but the font size is too small to read
when it's enlarged to 100%. I've tried all kinds of custom sizes in Adobe
PDF too - up to 48" x 48" with the font sizes changed to 16 pts.

Since my skills are intermediate, I sense I am doing some little thing
incorrectly. How to explain otherwise how I been able to print out one
schedule successfully?

thank you, swell

Ok,

Firstly check that the project start date is the same as the date of the
first task under Project, Project Information.
Secondly make sure that none of the Gantt bars has two rows or text above or
below the bar (another reason for a task row to have a minimum height).
