? difference between office 2003 and Word 11

I can't open files I downloaded for office from Microsoft, I thought Word was
a part of office. Does Microsoft have templates for Word 11, if they do I
have not found them. Is there any way to open files from the Office support
site in Word 11?

Word 11 is the Word component of Office 2003.

Thank you for the response; But what does that mean? If office is part of
word 11 why can't I download templates from office ? I downloaded from the
Office template page at microsoft. I got word 11 installed as an OEM from
Dell when I bought my computer. I know a friend of mine got office installed
as an OEM when he bought his computer. ( Which was a Dell)

If, as requested, you tell me the link to the template you tried to
download, I will attempt to ascertain what the problem is. There is no
reason why you cannot use templates from Microsoft's web site, so the
implication is that you are doing something wrong. Without more information
it is difficult to suggest what that might be.
