Displayed 'Total Slack' Value Shows Zero

* Using MSP 2003 and last task in chain has 'Deadline' set
* Gantt shows end of last task being 'to the right' of the Deadline

--> should have a negative Total Slack number
* In chain of tasks in critical path, the first ones show non-zero Total
Slack, then suddenly Total Slack value goes to zero from that point on

Is there a task property or something that has the effect of driving Total
Slack to zero?

Hi,

Tasks with a Must constraint, but also tasks that are finished, have total
slack 0.

Thanks, Jan ... fyi, all tasks in the critical path are ASAP and none are
marked as complete. Perhaps I can restate:

The first 'n' tasks in the critical path *do* show Total Slack numbers,
then, from 'n+1' through the last task, the Total Slack numbers are zero.

I have inspected the tasks at the transition (i.e. 'n' to 'n+1') and believe
they are no different that any other.

Any other properties to look at or project-level settings to consider?
