I want to create a flyer with some links and send it to my 1600 contacts. I
would like for it not show everyones e-mail address in the send to.

Use the BCC field or do a Mail Merge. Contact your ISP to verify if your
agreement allows for sending out mail in bulk.

Also, make sure you provide an easy way for your "contacts" to opt-out of
your mailings. Otherwise, you're sure to make some fast online enemies and
you could face some jail time and/or serious fines: up to $11,000 for _each_
violation of the provisions of the CAN-SPAM Act (see
http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/pubs/buspubs/canspam.htm).

As others have posted, you can use BCC but most ISPs restrict the max number
of recipients per email to something a lot less than that. Your only options
are to use mail merge or a dedicated mass mailing program such as our email
scheduler (http://www.lbetoolbox.com/scheduleemail.htm) which will allow you
to send multiple individual emails, html or plain text, with attachments,
either as a one-off or regularly at a specified time and interval

Hey Ronald. I am trying to send the same plain text email to about 150 of my
customers that have signed my document that it is OK to receive emails on new
products. When doing so, I am placing all addresses in the BCC field. My
system shows that it is sending the email and does so seemingly without
errors. However, when I click on the email itself in the sent folder, the
recipients show "none". When confirming with several of my customers on
receipt of the email, they are telling me they have not received it. Am I
doing something wrong?

If you open the message that is in your sent items, does it show the BCC
entries? Have you tried sending a message to a single user on the BCC line
to ensure that it is received? Are you sending via an exchange server or
via an ISP's smtp server?

It shows "none" next to BCC entries when I open the message in sent folders.
I send single emails to everybody all day long......just having trouble
sending the same email to multiples. I am using Timewarner DSL. My max per
day is 500 emails. The number of emails I am trying to send shouldn't be a
problem. I did try going to Word and doing a mail-merge, but something about
SQL and my list with Word, something, something popped up. Since I am a bit
lame on the "detailed" computer stuff, I am stuck.

Those mail you send all day long, are they BCC'd? Basically, I want to make
sure you can send a message to 1 person in the exact same way you are trying
to send 150, and that the BCC field shows blank in Sent Items too. I can
see some ISPs being hesitant to allow a message that has no To or CC's in
the header, but only the BCC.

Personally, since lots of spam filters will block mail that isn't *to* the
recipient, the mail merge might be the better solution and you'd need to
give more information with regards to the errors you're getting there.
