Editing Project Start/Finish Date

Probably a basic question from a novice user...but, I'm trying to leverage a
plan from another project that contains the majority of data/tasks/resources
that I need. The dates are obviously incorrect. I've tried changing the
start date of the project, but the selection is greyed out when I pull it up.
I can change the start date under the analysis toolbar, but for some reason,
when I go back into the project plan, the main project has the original start
date. Also, if I do change the core/main project start time and duration,
will the rest of the subtasks change dates automatically...or will I have to
do something? Thank you!

Hi Cincy,

Before trying to alter dates, select all tasks.
Right-click the selection, select task information
In the general tab, Enter 0% as percent completed.
In the advanced tab, select "As<Soon as possible" as the constraint.
OK and off you go.
