I'll try to make this short. I have an older computer, Windows Version
2002, Intel (R) Pentioum (R) 4CPU 1.5 GHz with 768 mb of Ram, mother
board 1.5GH. Windows XP. I tried to load Windows Vista, it crashed.
However I did back it up on a external hard drive called Maxtor with
the program "Perfect Image Professional" by Avanguest. Spent hours
with Windows Vista techs getting it off and then hours w/ Widows XP
people loading it back, then loaded my programs back. Tried to
recover my files from my external and I can see them, but however when
I try to open them, say in MS Word, the encoded. No matter what I try
I can not open them. Any suggestions?? Anayone familiar with the
Maxtor or Perfect Image??
Thanks for any help. I'm not very good at this kind of thing, so it
needs to be explained fairly simply.
