I have an existing project in Microsoft Projects 2013. I'm trying to enter a new task in the middle of the project. When I try this, it moves the task to somewhere else in the project. This just started within the past few days. before that, I didn't have this problem.

Could I have clicked on something inadvertantly that is causing this? I need to find out how to fix this.

    HI,
I reckon you have somehow setup one of the following. maybe the View you are looking at either has been sorted or a filter applied. Try sorting it by ID and clear filter see if that helps
