Thanks Mike - I really appreciate your willingness to help me. I only have
Project professsional 2003 as a single product on my laptop, not the Server
version. Does this affect the advice in the link you have suggested, which
seems to apply to the server version?
Bless you

Thanks again Mike - but, as I have already reinstalled Windows XP SP2,
shouldn't that reinstall IE SP1? Would it be easiest to just add the gbui
site to Internet Explorer? if so, how do I do that?!!
I am REALLY grateful for your expert advice and help.
Bon weekend

Sorry, Roy; as you can see I'm not an expert in these registry problems and
I have no idea what you can do to overcome your problem. I think you'll
have to contact Microsoft Support, unless anyone else has some other ideas.

Good luck :)

Thanks Mike.
I did as you suggested under ID SRQ051125601738 and Vivek Sati was
excellent; he helped me find the solution, which is ....

Article 887028 does NOT distinguish between Project 2002 and Project 2003.
So the instructions apply only to 2002 (Office 10.0) in the registry key
value; they need a slight but vital alteration if using Project 2003 ( see
below for details)

Article 887028 says ...
"HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\10.0\MS
Project\Options|Interface."

BUT! ... For Project 2003, this should read as follows
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\MS Project\Options\Interface

That was the instant solution. It has just taken me about 12 hours to find
it, so I hope this solution helps others.

Vivek is going to flag this error up to the Knowledge base people, but I
don't know how to let others on this site know this answer.

If you do, will you be so kind as to do the necessary? Thanks

And thanks again for your part in this solution.

Thanks Roy. I'm having the same issue with MSP 2002 Pro running on XP Home
Edition. I did the IE SP1 re-install and the registry key add, but still get
the error. I will review my steps against your updated article response and
report back.

Good news Mike - Vivek has already altered the KB article online, to update
this error for everyone's benefit.
A WinWin solution!!!
Bon weekend
