error message starting Office Outlook 2003, SP3

Since I updated my Office Outlook 2003 to SP3, I get an error message that
says, "Microsoft Office Outlook, The operation failed". It appears as a
bubble above the status bar. I don't notice any errors and Outlook appears
to be operating normally.

Anyone know what is happening?

Might try deleting your *.SRS file. It is located at:

\documents and settings\<userid>\application data\microsoft\outlook

Just so you know, "application data" is a hidden/system folder so you will
have to configure windows explorer to show this file/folder type.

I looked in that folder and found no files with an SRS extension. I also ran
a search of my C drive and found no SRS files.

What else can I try.

Thanks,
Vince
