Examples of using InfoPath

Hello,

I've been working with Sharepoint (SPS and WSS) for about 6 months now,
and coming from a non-Microsoft programming background it's been a
rocky road -- but things are coming together. Now I'm looking at
possibly converting some of our forms to digital forms via Infopath,
but I'm having problems finding good resources online on how to do
this.

I learn by example, not by 20 page documents filled with Microsoft
suggestions and garb. Are there any good examples or tutorials showing
how to create a simple Infopath Form and add it to Sharepoint? I'd
love for the results to feed into the database plus be emailed to a
specific user.

Thanks for any suggestions or ideas... or if there's a book out there
with such examples, I'd be willing to go that route too. Just no
Microsoft FAQ's because MIcrosoft's way always seems to be 10x more
complicated then it needs to be.

definately microsoft but i found it fairly quick and painless to get a
good start and handle on the features, including sharepoint submission
and extending save functionality//
