F Keys on Outlook 2007

Is there a way to use Word as the email editor in Outlook 2007? I could in
Outlook 2003. That way, I was able to use the F Keys in Outlook just as I
could in Word. For instance, F4 in Word repeats the last action. In
Outlook, it brings up the FIND dialogue.

Word *is* the email editor in Outlook 2007. However, in a few cases like this, Outlook keystrokes take precedence over those you'd see in a Word 2007 document.

How illogical and needlessly confusing. Is there any key in Outlook that
will repeat the last action?
