Faxing PDF's

S

Shannon

I am attempting to fax a pdf from outlook and keep getting the message below.

The Microsoft Fax transport failed to deliver the message to the recipient.
Not all attachments can be rendered.

When I try to send a word document it works fine.

Thank you in advance.

According to Russ Valentine Outlook MVP and cardiologist...

"You must have a printto verb defined at the operating system level for any
fomatted file you send as an attachment. Neither Outlook nor the Fax service
can do the rendering."

"Windows Explorer > Tools > Folder options > File Types >
Look for the file type you are trying to send as an attachment
Advanced > Actions
See if there is a printto verb defined there"

Based on Dr Valentine's answers, I would go to:
Windows Explorer > Tools > Folder options > File Types
Look for the file type you are trying to send as an attachment
Advanced > Actions > New
Action:
printto
Application used to perform action: (most likely Adobe acrobat reader.)
You can use the Browse to navigate to it. Something like.
"c:\program files\acrobat\acrobat 7.0\reader\AcroRd32.exe" /t "%1" "%2" "%3"
"%4"
That is what mine shows anyway.
