File Association

I am using Office 2003. I have some old files that have no file extension.
Word or Excel does not recognise them and if I give them a .doc extension I
get a message "Word cannot start the converter MSWRD632.WPC. Is there any
way to identify these files in a useful manner?

Click the Fixit button at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/973904 then if
these are Word compatible documents, you may be able to open them.
