Filter for dates up to the current date

I would like to be able to run a filter that will automatically show any late
tasks up to the current date. I thought I could create a new filter (saving
it in the 'all tasks' filter area) with the criteria less than or equal to
and then =today(). Project accepted =today without the brackets. The filter
worked yesterday when I created it, but did not automatically update when I
opened the file and ran the filter today. Any advice gratefully accepted.

Hi DonnaO,

If you open your filter to edit you'll see the filter has converted
your "today" to a date. You could work through it by adding a spare
Date field with the formula =Date(). That field will update when
the project is re-calculated. You could then compare to the Date
field in the filter.

I'm unsure what your definition of "late" is but have you looked at
the Slipped/Late Progress filter and/or the Slipping Tasks filters
which are already part of MS Project?

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.
