Fitting recurring tasks into a task sequence

Can you make MS Project split existing tasks, when a recurring task
linked to the same ressource as the existing tasks is scheduled in
parallel to the existing task, i.e. MS splits the existing task giving
priority to the instance in question of the recurring task, and then
return to the existing task at the end of the recurring task?

Hello krarup,

Yes. Have you explored Resource Leveling? Recurring tasks
automatically have a priority of 1000. Set the longer duration task
(the one you wish to split) to a lower priority if necessary (by default
it will be 500). In the set up for Resource Leveling, choose to level
by Priority, Standard and have the option to allow splits enabled.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.
