Fix "filter for" feature for lookup fields

F

Fix it

In Access 2000, using the find feature in a lookup field would return "no
records found" while searching for the data being displayed and not the data
in the bound field. For example, in a lookup field with EmployeeID and
LastName, if the EmployeeID field width is set to zero only lastnames show.
You'd need to know "Smith's" ID number to find his record, searching for
Smith in the Lastname field would return no records. The "problem" was
corrected in Access 2003, and maybe in XP. Microsoft even corrected the
problem when filtering lookup fields, but the correction applies only to
Filter by Selection and Filter by Form. If a user was to right click in the
lastname field, type Smith and hit the enter key, no records would be
returned by Access.
