Font color and print colors do not match

This has just started happening to me.
When I insert a picture, it looks just fine.
But the colors that do print out do not match.
For example, if I put a red border around some
text, it comes out of the printer in purple.
Ditto, same problem with all colors, with graphics and
with pictures.
Again, I have made no changes, have inserted a
new cartridge, have done everything I know to do.
HELP. it's making me crazy. I could not print
red and green at Christmas. I got purple and blue.
Pictures look terrible.
Thank you for help.

Thanks JoAnn.
I know that matching colors and printer colors isn't easy.
But it has always worked, and never a problem.
Why did this just start happening?
Does this have anything to do with True Text (etc.)?
Also, sometimes the font color on my monitor is now
just bizarre. Instead of pure black, I see a bit of mixture
of green and black.
My colors seem totally haywire, and I have made no
changes to any settings. It's worked 100% correctly
for years.
???
Thanks again.

Have you looked on the printer's manufacturer's web site for an updated driver?
Or look at the support documents that most manufacturer supply on their sites?
