Font Not Available in Publisher

Thanks in advance for any ideas. I am at my wit's end.

I am running Pub2000 on Win2000. Problem: Two special
fonts (Serif Gothic Bold & SG ExtraBold) our company has
purchased from a type foundry are not available to me in
Pub2000. I need to use these fonts! They are part of a
family that we use in our reports, mrkting materials and
so on. I just updated with the various SR's yesterday,
hoping to fix problem. Yet, no dice. I see them in the
Windows Font folder, but they are not available in
Publisher. I have deleted them and re-installed, but 'tis
to no avail. Any thoughts?

If they show up as available in other programs, but just not Publisher, the
fonts may be corrupt or poorly designed. Publisher is not as fault-tolerant
of fonts as other programs. Your best bet is sticking with established font
foundries. If this was the case (if you used Bitstream or similar), then
try using a font management program to see if you can discover exactly what
the problem with these fonts is.

I did some checking, and, as it turns out, it isn't
available in any other programs either. Phooey. I'll see
about getting a font management program. Thank you.
