Free Slack

Apologies if this is easy !

I'd like to show 'free' slack as well as 'total' slack. That is, the time a
task can take up before it delays it's successor, rather than the whole
project.

Any way of doing this ??

Hello Swansea Jack,

I don't quite know whether you want to show the information graphically
(for example in the Gantt chart) or in a column (field).

The Detail Gantt view has a bar style definition called Slack which is
exactly what you need. Apply the Detail Gantt view and go to the
Format > Bar Styles dialog box to see the definition. You can add a
similar bar manually to an existing view if the Detail Gantt does suit
your needs.

To add the field to a table, choose Insert > Column and then in the
Column Definition dialog box, select the Free Slack field.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.
