Freeze Column for view

Is there a way to "freeze" a column so that it is alway viewable as you
scroll through other columns? I have a lot of columns that I'm looking at,
and the Task Name column scrolls off the left side of my screen. Excel
provides the "Freeze Pane" feature doing what I'm looking for.

Does anybody know if this can be done in Project?

You can lock the first column in a view. Go to View > Tables > More tables,
then select the table that drives the view you want to modify and click Edit.
Make the task name the first column in the table. Then, check the box to
Lock first column.

Very Tricky Grasshopper...

This sort of works, in that it indeed freezes the task name descriptions on
the left side of the screen. Unfortunately, the indentiation of sub task is
lost making it a bit difficult to read. Any thoughts on how to keep the
formatting?
