jazzycats

i have recently upgraded my windows media pc (purchased very recently, not
bogged down with heaps of software) to vista premium. i have office outlook
2007 and whenever i try to send an email a pop up error message jumps out and
starts blithering on about an add in fxsext32.ll not being able to be
installed or something. I have looked for the extend.dat file and renamed it
as i have seen in some groups as being a solution but still no go. i want to
get rid of this error message.

In Outlook->Tools->Trust Center->Add-ins. Remove it from there.

I went into the trust centre and had a look at the add-ins. can't see
anything that resembles this file to be removed/un-installed. i am a little
confused as i did not add this in.

This is a bug you'll see if you try to upgrade your OS instead of installing
it clean. Close Outlook. Find and rename extend.dat.

OK It isn't the easest one to find but try this ( it worked for me)

Tools|Trust Center|Add-ins

you will see Active Application Add-ins
first one on my list was Microsoft Exchange Unified Messaging note the
discription where it talks about fax integration.

I then went down to the dialog box that says Manage and clicked on the down
symbol to get the list Com Add-Ins, Exchange Client Extensions and lastly
Disabled Items.

I selected Exchange Client Extensions and it comes up with FaxEntension as
the first item, uncheck that, click OK and you should be set.

Unfortunately, most people who get this error message do not have that
add-in enabled.
