Google desktop search shows old items but where are they?

When I search for a specific name or information very old data as well as
current data is displayed. This data obviously exists somewhere, but I do
not know how to access it. I have tried looking in Archived Folders, but it
is not there. Any ideas?

Not without any info. Doesn't Google tell you where it found it?
Could be a corrupt or old index as well so Google hasn't removed it yet.

Either way; it doesn't sound like an initial Outlook issue.

Desktop search engines index data, and display these indexed results
when searching. The original data may have disappeared, but it may
still show in the indexes.

Reindexing completely may solve your problem.
