Greyed out Messages

Can anybody tell me why some of my messages that arrive in my Inbox are
"greyed out". They are from trusted sources and as far as I know I have not
set up any strange rules.

Any help would be great, thanks very much,

Do they otherwise behave normally? You can read them, reply to them, etc.?

Well aloha Ben,

Yes they behave perfectly normally, just appear as grey in the inbox when
most e-mail entries are in black text.

Aloha Ian,

Do you perhaps have Automatic Formatting that might be doing that? Depending
upon your version of Outlook you could check under the View menu.

Hi Ben,

Well, I found the problem, not quite what you said but that lead me to the
problem. In Organise | Junk E-Mail I had a rule turned on so that all Junk
mail was coloured Gray. Turning this off sorted the problem. The conundrum
now is how some of my messages are classififed as Junk mail. If I go to Edit
Junk Senders, my list only has three entries that I must have added from what
look like true spam e-mailers and bear no relation to the addresses of the
messages that are turned gray as they arrive in my Inbox. However, I've
stopped the gray ones appearing, so I'm happy again

PS: I'm running Outlook 2002, should have mentioned at outset.
